Joseph Kirk of Skeby Nottinghamshire

A rare Joseph Kirk of Segby. A fine eight-day 5 pillar movement of good quality With an oak case applied collums to the hood. Kirk is recorded between 1681 to 1735. He made clocks in Clay Cross, and Harstoft Derbyshire, Nottingham, and Skegby Nottinghamshire. There is one of his clocks in Hardwick Hall and some years back one of his clocks was sold by Sotheby's in the Chatsworth attic sale.
